Pauri: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Martyrs’ Memorial Ceremony held at the Government Inter College, Rikhanikhal. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 11 development projects worth ₹102.82 crore. This included the inauguration of six projects worth ₹56.58 crore and the foundation stone laying of five projects worth ₹46.24 crore.
CM Dhami also inspected departmental stalls and tried his hand at traditional activities such as pounding paddy in a mortar, grinding chutney on a grinding stone, and extracting buttermilk. He emphasized that the demand for mountain products is rapidly increasing both domestically and internationally. Therefore, local people should become economically empowered by adopting self-employment.
Meanwhile, CM Dhami honored the widows of martyrs, the families of martyrs, and former soldiers by presenting them with shawls and mementos. Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami stated that this occasion is not merely a program, but a moment to pay collective tribute to the martyrs. Every household in Uttarakhand is connected to the military, and the state government is continuously working for the welfare of soldiers and their families.

- The ex-gratia amount given to the families of martyrs has been increased from ₹10 lakh to ₹50 lakh.
- The amount of the Param Vir Chakra and other gallantry awards has been increased.
- An assistance of ₹10,000 is being provided for the funeral of martyrs.
- Soldiers are being given a 25% stamp duty exemption on land purchases.
- 28 families of martyrs have been given government jobs, while the process for 13 cases is ongoing.
Meanwhile, CM Dhami said that the construction of the grand Military Shrine in Dehradun is in its final stages and will be inaugurated soon. Referring to the development work underway in Pauri district, he said that work is progressing rapidly on the 100-meter-high national flag in Kandoliya, the former CDS Bipin Rawat Park, the Satpuli Lake, the Dhari Devi Walkway, and the re-opening of the Chardham Walkway.
He said that the government is working for development, rising above regionalism and casteism. He described steps such as land jihad, religious conversion, the anti-riot law, the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Operation Kalanemi, and the anti-copying law as historic steps towards good governance.
