Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of the state’s silver jubilee. Paying tribute to all the immortal martyrs of the state’s formation, the statehood agitators, and the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation, the Chief Minister also paid homage on behalf of the people of the state to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who laid the strong foundation of Uttarakhand.
In his message, the Chief Minister stated that during the 25 years of successful development since the state’s formation, Uttarakhand has made historic progress in areas such as economy, infrastructure, social harmony, and cultural preservation. In 25 years, the state’s economy has grown 26-fold, per capita income 18-fold, and its budget more than 20-fold. By becoming the first state to implement a Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand has once again underscored its special role. A powerful and self-reliant Uttarakhand is being built with the participation of the state’s women, youth, state activists, ex-servicemen, and expatriate Uttarakhandis.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has immense spiritual affection for Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and the people of Uttarakhand. Just as he has expressed his desire and interest in the reconstruction work of Kedarnath Dham and the development work of Badrinath Dham, he has now expressed his desire and interest in the development of Manaskhand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given us the goal of building a developed India by 2047. We are committed to making a leading contribution to this development journey as a developed, prosperous, and self-reliant Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister said that the state had the honor of hosting the 38th National Games in this Silver Jubilee year. Uttarakhand has set a new record by winning 103 medals in these National Games. He said that in these 25 years the state has achieved many accomplishments, but we still have a long way to go and we have to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand a progressive, advanced and ideal state in every field. Achieving this great objective is possible only with public support. The Chief Minister said that public service, good governance, sensitivity and welfare of the poor are our goals. It is our resolve that by the end of the Silver Jubilee year 2025, Uttarakhand should be successful in establishing its identity as the leading state of the country. We are committed to fulfilling this alternative-less resolve with full dedication. The Chief Minister also expected the people of the state to cooperate in building a strong, prosperous, self-reliant and developed Uttarakhand.
