Dehradun: In view of the seriousness of the car bombing near the Red Fort in Delhi, the Uttarakhand Police Headquarters has issued a high alert across the state. Director General of Police Deepam Seth has issued instructions to tighten security in the state, following which police and security forces have been fully activated. CM Dhami issued necessary instructions to the Uttarakhand DGP, following which police across Uttarakhand have been put on alert.

In view of security concerns, police in-charges of all districts in the state have been strictly instructed to immediately increase patrolling and checking in their respective areas. Intensive checking is being carried out at sensitive and crowded places. Every vehicle and person entering the state is being thoroughly checked at the Uttarakhand border. Security has been increased at all major temples, mosques, and other religious places. Police presence has been increased at crowded places such as markets, malls, bus stands, and railway stations to prevent any untoward incident.

DGP Setham has instructed all police officers to immediately report any suspicious activity to higher authorities and ensure prompt action. Social media is being continuously monitored to prevent the spread of any rumors or misleading information and maintain peace and order.
