Uttarakhand Secretariat sees massive transfers, with 95 officers and employees reassigned

Dehradun: The long-standing confusion surrounding transfers at the Uttarakhand Secretariat has finally ended. ETV Bharat reported on the delays in transfers just 24 hours ago. Following this, the government has finally issued transfer orders for review officers, assistant review officers, and computer operators.

Rapid transfers at the Uttarakhand Secretariat: The Uttarakhand government has effected a large-scale transfer of employees. Although this transfer list had been awaited for several months, the transfers were stalled due to a lack of due diligence at the government level. ETV Bharat also published a report on this matter, alleging non-compliance with the transfer policy. Following this, the government has finally taken a decision and issued orders.

Transfer list released: The Uttarakhand Secretariat Association has also been raising its voice against the transfer of employees within the government. The Review Association, in particular, raised its voice against this issue and even threatened a protest.

Amidst pressure from secretariat employees, the government found it difficult to implement transfers under the Secretariat’s transfer policy. However, a committee was formed at the government level, and after a high-level recommendation, the transfer list was released.

Transfers of officers in these positions: Currently, review officers, assistant review officers, and computer operators have been transferred in the Uttarakhand Secretariat. However, the transfer list for higher-ranking officers such as section officers, under secretaries, deputy secretaries, and joint secretaries has not yet been released.

As a result, the transfer list of officers holding these higher positions, who have been posted at the same place for five years or more, is also awaited.

Transfer of 49 review officers: The Uttarakhand government has released a transfer list for a total of 49 review officers. Similarly, 15 assistant review officers have also been removed from their responsibilities and transferred to new postings. The third list is for computer operators, in which a total of 31 computer operators have been transferred to other sections.

Waiting for Transfers of Section Officers: However, the most awaited list in the government is for the transfer of section officers. This is because, as section heads, their responsibilities are considered the most important. This includes many officers who have been stationed in the same section for years.
