Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in a program organized at the Race Course Gurdwara on the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. He paid obeisance at the Shri Gurudwara Sahib and also listened to Shabad Kirtan.
He then met with the officials of the Gurdwara Sahib. On this occasion, the officials presented the Chief Minister with a memento. The Chief Minister also served langar to the devotees.
Paying tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Chief Minister said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib holds a unique place among those who sacrificed their lives to protect religion, human values, and principles. He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji gave the message of love, unity, and brotherhood to the people. His sacrifice inspires us to foster unity and harmony.
The Chief Minister said that the Govindghat-Hemkunt Sahib ropeway is being constructed to reach Hemkunt Sahib, which will facilitate the journey of Sikh pilgrims. Additionally, all the benefits of minority educational institutions are being extended to the Sikh community. Present on the occasion were Gurudwara Sahib Management Committee President Balveer Singh Sahni, Secretary Rajinder Pal Singh Chandok, and BJP Metropolitan President Siddharth Agarwal.
