Dehradun: International boxer Pawan Bartwal, who has excelled at the international level, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence. Pawan Bartwal recently won the silver medal at the World Boxing Cup 2025. The Chief Minister congratulated him on his achievement and wished him a bright future.

The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is continuously working to encourage and develop athletes. The state’s talented athletes are bringing glory to the state by performing brilliantly on national and international platforms.
Pawan Bartwal recently represented India at the World Boxing Cup 2025. This competition was held in Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) from November 15 to November 20, 2025. Pawan performed brilliantly in this prestigious international competition and won the silver medal, bringing glory to the country and Uttarakhand. Currently, Pawan is serving in the Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army and his dedication and commitment towards the sport, even while in the army, has brought him significant success on the international stage. Pawan Bartwal’s coaches Lalit Mohan Kunwar, Suresh Chand Sharma and Hari Krishna Belwal were also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister, while praising the role of coaches, said that the contribution of their coaches and support team is very important in the success of the players.
