Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, saying that Atal Ji’s personality and work will always inspire us.
Paying homage to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the eve of his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an efficient administrator, a visionary politician, a popular public leader, and a great orator. For late Vajpayee, national interest was paramount. Atal Ji was the architect of Uttarakhand state. He not only created the state of Uttarakhand but also laid a strong foundation for its overall development. While serving as Prime Minister, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee did the great work of laying a strong foundation for the development of Uttarakhand by providing a special industrial package along with the creation of the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India created a new identity on the world stage and stepped into the 21st century with strength. He had an amazing ability to take everyone along. He will always be remembered for his far-sighted vision, literary works, the Pokhran nuclear tests, and India’s victory in the Kargil war.
