Uttarakhand residents receive New Year’s gift: CM Dhami approves development projects worth ₹51 crore

Dehradun. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved development projects worth ₹51 crore to strengthen basic infrastructure and ensure the effective implementation of public welfare schemes in the state.

These include projects related to Ayush (traditional medicine), urban development, lighting, waste management, implementation of Chief Minister’s announcements, and the organization of camps under the ‘Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep’ campaign.

The Chief Minister has sanctioned ₹25.74 crore for the construction of an industrial shed and storage facility at Rishikul Government Ayurvedic Pharmacy (Medicine Manufacturing Unit) in Haridwar, and ₹7.44 crore for the expansion of the Directorate of Ayurvedic and Unani Services building.

In addition, ₹11.41 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion, renovation, and maintenance of the State Guest House Circuit House in Champawat.

To improve basic amenities in urban areas, ₹99.17 lakh has been sanctioned for LED and street lighting works in Nagla Municipal Council area, and ₹15.95 lakh for the purchase of vehicles for waste collection in 14 urban local bodies of the state.

The Chief Minister has also sanctioned ₹3.16 crore for organizing camps in Nyaya Panchayats and Gram Panchayats of all districts under the ‘Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep’ campaign, aimed at directly delivering the benefits of government schemes to the public and resolving problems on the spot.

Along with this, several important schemes have also been given the green light under the implementation of the Chief Minister’s announcements. These include the approval of ₹50 lakh for the development of a trekking route and fairground from Suwalekh to Chandika Ghat in the Pithoragarh assembly constituency, ₹67.45 lakh for the construction of a trekking route from Jamradi to Rantoda Badkhet in the Vin area, ₹50.68 lakh for installing CCTV cameras in the main markets of the Salt assembly constituency in Almora, and ₹39 lakh for proposed construction works and solar chain-linked fencing in the Adarsh ​​Gram Panchayat Sarkot of the Karnaprayag assembly constituency. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned departments to ensure the speedy implementation of the approved schemes.
