A flood of faith is pouring in Chardham, about 30 lakh pilgrims reached in 50 days

Dehradun: This time there is immense enthusiasm among the devotees about the world famous Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand. It has been only about 50 days since the Chardham Yatra started this year and in these 50 days, about 30 lakh devotees have visited the Chardhams so far. Whereas in the year 2023, till June 30 i.e. in 68 days, about 30 lakh devotees had come for darshan.

The Uttarakhand government has been continuously making efforts to conduct smooth, safe and uninterrupted Chardham Yatra. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had started a round of meetings as well as field inspections etc. for the smooth conduct of the Chardham Yatra from January this year itself. He gave clear instructions to the officials that the Yatra should be taken very seriously. When the process of opening the doors of the Chardhams started this time on May 10, a large number of pilgrims from the country and the world reached for darshan from the very first day. Keeping in mind the challenges posed by the huge crowd of devotees at the beginning of the Yatra, the Chief Minister took charge of the arrangements right in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections, and within a week the arrangements became smooth. The Chief Minister gave a clear message to the officers that the pilgrims should not face any kind of problem. As a result, the Yatra started running smoothly in all the four Dhams and every day a large number of pilgrims from all over the country and the world are reaching for the darshan.

If we look at the figures, it seems that from the opening of the doors on 10th May till 30th June this year, about 30 lakh devotees have visited the four Dhams, whereas last year the doors opened on 22nd April, that is, about 18 days earlier. Despite this, about 30 lakh pilgrims had reached till 30th June.
