Dehradun: A large-scale transfer of IPS officers has been made in Uttarakhand. In the transfer list released by the government, 16 IPS officers and 8 PPS (Provincial Police Service) officers have been transferred. The captains of some districts have also been replaced.
The Uttarakhand government has appointed senior IPS officer ADG Abhinav Kumar as the state intelligence chief. Furthermore, the transfer list includes IPS officers PVK Prasad, Abhinav Kumar, and Nilesh Anand Bharne, as well as reshuffles of responsibilities for IPS and PPS officers from top to bottom.
IPS officer PVK Prasad has been removed from the position of Director of Prosecution. Abhinav Kumar has been given the responsibility of Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence and Security). Amit Kumar Sinha has been relieved of his duties as Director of Forensic Science Laboratory. AP Anshuman has been appointed Director of Prosecution. Similarly, Vimmi Sachdeva has been removed from the position of Inspector General of Police (Human Rights).
Nilesh Anand Bharane has been appointed Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory and Inspector General of Police, Cyber/STF/ANTF. He has been relieved of his responsibilities as Inspector General of Police, Crime and Law and Order. Anant Shankar Takwale has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Human Rights. Sunil Kumar Meena has been appointed Inspector General of Police, Crime and Law and Order.
Prahlad Narayan Meena has been appointed Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Headquarters. He was previously the SSP of Nainital. Yashwant Singh has been appointed Commander of the 31st Battalion PAC. He has been relieved of his responsibilities as Senior Superintendent of Police, CID.
Transfers in the Provincial Police Service: Prakash Chandra has been appointed Deputy Principal, PTC, Narendranagar. Manoj Kumar Katyal will assume the responsibility of Additional Superintendent of Police, Haldwani. Renu Lohani has been appointed Deputy Commander, IRB II, Dehradun.
Swapan Kishore Singh has been appointed Additional Superintendent of Police, Kashipur. Manisha Joshi has been appointed Deputy Commander, 40th Battalion, PAC, Haridwar. Abhay Kumar Singh will be the Additional Superintendent of Police, Haridwar. Kamla Bisht has been given the responsibility of Additional Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Nainital. Pankaj Gairola has been made the Additional Superintendent of Police, Vikasnagar.
The SSPs and SPs of these districts have been changed: Manjunath TC will be the SSP of Nainital district. Sarvesh Panwar has been made the SSP of Pauri. Surjeet Singh Panwar will be the SP of Chamoli. Kamlesh Upadhyay has been given the responsibility of SP, Uttarkashi. Sarita Dobal from Uttarkashi has been made the SP, Intelligence Headquarters.
