Dehradun: In view of the disaster-like situation in the state of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with senior officials on Monday. In the high-level meeting, many important decisions were taken to make the state’s disaster management, administrative reforms and service delivery effective at the local level. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a two-day special session should be organized in the month of November on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the Legislative Assembly.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that Tharali area should also be given a special relief and rehabilitation package like Dharali. The CM clarified that immediate assistance should be provided to the people affected by the recent disasters in Tharali and rehabilitation work should be started on a war footing. In the same sequence, instructions have been given to start relief and reconstruction work in Joshimath as soon as possible. The CM told the officials that the suffering of the affected families should be alleviated on priority basis. Not only this, it was decided in the meeting that a two-day special session will be organized in the coming month of November on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the Legislative Assembly. In this special session, the achievements, challenges and future plans of the state will be discussed extensively.
