About 30 doctors from AIIMS across the country will be deployed for Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra, know the strategy of the Health Department?

Dehradun: There is already a huge shortage of doctors in Uttarakhand. In such a situation, when a big event takes place in the state, the health system collapses further. Especially during the Chardham Yatra, when a large number of doctors are deployed on the Chardham Yatra routes, it leads to a huge shortage of doctors in the hospitals.

In such a situation, the Uttarakhand Health Department has expected from other states that the doctors from there who want to provide their free services during the Chardham Yatra can come. Apart from this, the Health Department has demanded doctors from the Ministry of Health itself, which has been approved.

Chardham Yatra starting from April 30

The Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is starting from April 30. In view of which, the nodal department related to the Chardham Yatra as well as other departments are busy in finalizing their preparations. All the departments related to the Chardham Yatra play a very important role.

The health department also plays a very important role among these departments. Because, from screening of the devotees coming on the Chardham Yatra to treating them in case of ill health, doctors and health workers treat them. This is the reason why the Uttarakhand government is insisting on providing better health facilities in the Chardham Yatra.

Questions have already been raised on health facilities in Uttarakhand that especially the people living in the mountainous areas are not able to get the benefit of better health facilities. Similar cases are also seen almost every year during the Chardham Yatra that the devotees are not able to get the benefit of better health facilities.

For the last few years, special emphasis is being given on health facilities by the health department. So that, the devotees coming on the Chardham Yatra can be given the benefit of better health facilities. In this episode, in view of the upcoming Chardham Yatra, a decision has been taken by the Health Department to deploy a large number of doctors.

Health Ministry said to provide 30 to 40 doctors in Chardham

To ensure that there is no shortage of doctors in Chardham Yatra, Uttarakhand Health Department had sent a letter to the Health Ministry demanding specialist doctors. In the letter sent by the Health Department, it was said that about 45 doctors would be made available to the state. On which the Health Ministry has agreed and said to make 30 to 40 doctors available for Chardham Yatra.

Physicians and orthopedic specialists called from AIIMS across the country

All these doctors will be called from AIIMS present across the country. All these doctors will be physicians and orthopedic specialists. Who will be deployed in all the Dhams. Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that several rounds of meetings have also been held at the Government of India level regarding this. In such a situation, the list of doctors will soon be available to the Uttarakhand government. Health department will make arrangements for food and lodging of doctors

Uttarakhand Health Department has sent a letter to all the states in view of the shortage of doctors and specialist doctors. In which it has been requested that any doctors (government or private) in their state who want to provide free services in Chardham, can provide their services in Chardham. Whose lodging and food arrangements will be made by Uttarakhand Health Department.

Uttarakhand Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that a letter has been sent to the Health Secretaries of all the states in this regard. Along with this, SOP has also been sent in their local language. He also said that like last year, this year also health related guidelines have been issued in 13 languages ​​in view of Chardham Yatra.

Every year during Chardham Yatra, medical staff including doctors are deployed by the Health Department. In this episode, doctors and paramedical staff are also being deployed during the upcoming Chardham Yatra. During the year 2024, 20 medical relief posts were set up on the Chardham Yatra route. There will be 50 screening points on the Chardham Yatra route. Where regular health facilities will also be available for the pilgrims. 100 doctors will be deployed in the Chardham Yatra, which includes 60 specialist doctors and 40 MBBS doctors. Important points of health facilities during the Yatra-

  2. There will be screening points at 50 places on the Yatra route
  3. Regular health facilities will also be available
  4. Health check-up centers will be at 31 places
  5. 154 ambulances will be deployed (including 17 advanced life support ambulances)
  6. Air ambulance will be stationed at Rishikesh AIIMS
  7. Boat ambulance will be stationed at Tehri Lake
  8. 17-bed hospital in Kedarnath
  9. 45-bed hospital in Badrinath
  10. Health advisory has been issued in 13 languages
