As per a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on June 24th, Mr. Tapan Kumar Deka’s (1988-batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IPS officer) tenure as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) was extended by one year beyond June 30th, 2024, by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.
