Adviser to Prime Minister gets extension

New Delhi (07.05.2024): In the middle of the LS Polls 2024 Tarun Kapoor (Retd IAS: 1987: HP), Adviser to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was given weeks long extension in tenure coterminous with the term of PM Modi. His term was scheduled to end in the first week of May. It may be recalled that Kapoor was on May 02, 2022 appointed as Advisor to PM for a term of two years.

Prior to the entry into PMO he had a brief (ninety days) stint as the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) Chairman. He retired as Petroleum Secretary in November 2021.
