All exams cancelled by the UKSSSC will be conducted within the next three months. The Commission Chairman stated that the exam calendar will be released soon.

Dehradun: A major decision has been taken to cancel the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s graduate-level examination. The examination will be conducted again within three months. The single-member inquiry commission formed for the investigation submitted its report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today. The commission conducted the graduate-level examination in the state on September 21st, in which approximately 150,000 candidates participated.

The UKSSSC has issued orders to cancel the recruitment examination. The commission stated that this will not affect other examinations. The decision to cancel the examination was taken by the state government today after the submission of the single-member inquiry commission’s report.

Following the paper leak incident, youth from the state were protesting under the banner of the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dhami reached out to the youth. The youth ended their protest after being assured of action on their demands. The youth had given the government ten days to take action in the matter, which expired today. The investigation committee submitted its report, and the government decided to cancel the exam.

Three pages of the exam paper were leaked via mobile phone from a center in Haridwar and went viral on social media during the exam. Students protested demanding the cancellation of the exam and a CBI investigation, prompting Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to personally visit the protest site and announce the CBI inquiry.

Demand for Cancellation of Exam in Student Interest

CM Dhami formed an SIT in the matter and also constituted a single-member inquiry commission headed by retired Justice UC Dhyani of the Uttarakhand High Court.

The inquiry commission has submitted its report to the government based on public consultations held everywhere. Based on this report, the government has taken the important decision to cancel the exam. Meanwhile, a delegation of BJP MLAs met with CM Dhami on Friday and demanded that the exam be cancelled and rescheduled in the interest of students.
