Dehradun: The Ankita Bhandari murder case is currently making headlines in Uttarakhand. Protests are being held across the state demanding justice for Ankita. In this connection, Ankita Bhandari’s parents met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During the meeting, they expressed their pain and emotions to the Chief Minister, to which CM Dhami assured positive action. Amidst the uproar in the state over the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a press conference yesterday, January 6th. In it, he stated that he would meet with Ankita Bhandari’s parents and take action according to their demands. Following up on this, the very next day, January 7th, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with Ankita Bhandari’s parents at the Chief Minister’s residence.
This meeting is considered very important because the Chief Minister had clearly stated that action would be taken in this entire matter based on the legal aspects of whatever investigation Ankita’s parents requested. Accordingly, Ankita’s father, Virendra Singh Bhandari, and mother, Soni Devi, met with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today.
Demands presented to CM Dhami: During this meeting, Ankita’s parents presented their views and feelings regarding the entire case to the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to Ankita’s parents’ views and feelings and assured them that the state government stands firmly with the victim’s family.
