Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday attended the felicitation ceremony organized by Arpit Foundation at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. On this occasion, he said that this honor is not his personal, but a symbol of the cooperation and support of 1.25 crore people of Uttarakhand, who supported the government in every historic decision. The Chief Minister said that earlier the dreams of the youth in the state were shattered due to problems like copying and paper leak, after the implementation of the country’s strictest anti-copying law in the state, examinations are being conducted with transparency and in the last three and a half years more than 23 thousand youth have got government jobs.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many schemes have been implemented to empower women. Many welfare schemes like one-third reservation in Parliament, Ujjwala Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana are being run. In this direction, the Uttarakhand government has also taken many effective steps like Mukhyamantri Nari Shaktikaran Yojana, Mahalakshmi Yojana, Vatsalya Yojana, Anchal Amrit Yojana and Poshan Abhiyan. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the first state where Uniform Civil Code has been implemented, which has brought harmony in the society and given equal rights to women. Legal protection has been given to women and children by making registration of live-in relationships mandatory.
The Chief Minister said that strict action is being taken against activities like conversion, love jihad, land jihad in the state. Concrete steps have been taken to make the state safe and protected by implementing anti-riot law and strict land law. All these decisions are a strong foundation towards making Uttarakhand an ideal and safe state. The state government is continuously working towards making the state the best state in the country.
