Assam Government Re-Engages Retired IPS Officers for Active Service

In a strategic move to bolster the Assam Police, the Assam government has re-engaged two retired IPS officers, extending their roles for an additional two years.

This appointment follows his superannuation on September 30, and he will operate with full administrative and financial powers during this extended term.

Additionally, Jitmol Doley, a retired IPS officer from the 2005 batch, has been brought back on a contractual basis as Inspector General of Police (Operations) at the Assam Police Headquarters in Guwahati, also effective from October 1.
