Assam Governor Encourages New IPS Probationers to Lead by Example

Today, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya met with 10 IPS probationers from the 76th RR (2024 Batch) Assam-Meghalaya cadre at Raj Bhavan, where he offered guidance on their roles and responsibilities as future police leaders.

Governor Acharya urged the officers to serve as role models, emphasizing the high standards expected of them. He encouraged the probationers to approach their work with dedication and to treat all individuals with respect and courtesy.

“Becoming an IPS officer is a dream for many,” he remarked. “Now that you have achieved this, it is essential to fulfill your duties responsibly.” Governor Acharya highlighted the critical role of these young officers in maintaining law and order, stressing the importance of diligence and integrity in their service.

Expressing his hopes for the officers’ careers, the Governor encouraged them to contribute sincerely to the progress and safety of society.
