CM Dhami said on Tuesday that the expansion of the state cabinet can happen anytime soon. Talks have been held at all levels in this matter. After which now the way for cabinet expansion has been cleared.
There was speculation about the expansion of the state cabinet in a section of the media for some time. After the statement of CM Dhami, now all these speculations seem to be coming to an end. It has also got the green signal from the top leadership. Soon the government will now take steps forward in this direction.
Cabinet expansion will happen soon in Uttarakhand
Talking to a news channel in Gairsain ahead of the monsoon session of the state assembly starting on Wednesday, Chief Minister Dhami gave information about the cabinet expansion and said that discussions have been held at all levels in this regard. As soon as this process is completed, the cabinet can be expanded anytime soon. The recent meetings of senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state with the central leadership of the party fueled speculations in the state that the cabinet may be expanded soon in the state. For the past few days, many leaders of Uttarakhand were also visiting Delhi, after which such speculations started.
At present, four seats are vacant in the Dhami cabinet. Out of which three ministerial posts were vacant since the formation of the Dhami government in 2022. While the fourth position has fallen vacant due to the death of Transport Minister Chandan Ramdas last year. After which discussions about filling these vacant seats have been going on for a long time.
