Bihar: 14 IAS Officers Transferred, Several DDCs Reshuffled, Vikram Veerkar Appointed City Commissioner, Muzaffarpur

The Nitish Kumar government has recently reshuffled 14 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Of the 14 IAS transferees, 11 officers have been transferred to the General Administration Department (GAD) and are now awaiting new postings. Most of the officers impacted by this reshuffle belong to the 2019 and 2020 batches of the IAS.

IAS Sumit Kumar (2019 batch), last posted as the Saran city commissioner, has been appointed as the new Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of Bettiah.

IAS Preeti (2019 batch), last posted as DDC in Khagaria, has been named the new city commissioner of Bhagalpur, while IAS Naveen Kumar (2019 batch), previously the city commissioner of Muzaffarpur, has been appointed as the new DDC of Gaya.

IAS Yatendra Kumar Pal (2019 batch), previously posted as the Rohtas city commissioner, has now been appointed as Saran DDC. IAS Vikram Veerkar (2019 batch), last posted as DDC of Ara, will assume the role of Muzaffarpur city commissioner.

IAS Priyanka Rani (2019 batch) has been named as the new DDC of Nawada, while IAS Deepak Kumar Mishra (2019 batch) has been assigned the position of Nalanda city commissioner.
