Bihar: 7 Senior IPS Officers Transferred, Jitendra Singh Gangwar Appointed DG (Civil Defence)

Seven senior IPS officers have been reassigned in Bihar, with significant changes announced by the Bihar Police Headquarters on Tuesday. Mr. Kundan Krishnan, a 1994-batch IPS officer who recently returned from central deputation, has been appointed as the ADG (Headquarters) of Bihar Police.

Mr. Pankaj Darad (1995-batch IPS officer), previously serving as ADG of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), has taken on the new role of ADG (Law and Order) while continuing as ADG (Special Vigilance Unit).

Mr. Jitendra Singh Gangwar (1993-batch IPS officer) has been relieved of his additional charge as DG (Headquarters) and will now exclusively oversee his role as DG (Civil Defence).

Mr. Sanjay Singh (1997-batch IPS officer), formerly ADG (Law and Order), has been reassigned to ADG (Training).

Mr. Shaleen (2001-batch IPS officer), IG of B-SAP, has been named IG of ATS and will also hold additional responsibility as IG of B-SAP.

Mr. Vivek Kumar (2007-batch IPS officer), DIG of the Crime Investigation Department, has been transferred to serve as DIG of Bhagalpur East Zone. Mr. Vivekananda (1996-batch IPS officer), Bhagalpur DIG, has been appointed DIG of the Special Task Force (STF).

These changes mark a strategic reshuffle aimed at bolstering the administrative efficiency of Bihar Police.
