Dehradun: There is big news for the officers and employees of Uttarakhand. The government has now made biometric attendance compulsory in Uttarakhand Secretariat as well. A few days ago, the government had ordered the compulsory biometric attendance in all the departments, schools and hospitals located in the district.
In the orders issued by the Chief Secretary, it has been clarified that from May 1, the attendance of the employee in Uttarakhand Secretariat will also be biometric. Let us tell you that after becoming the Chief Secretary, IAS Anand Vardhan had ordered to implement the biometric attendance system in all the departments. Along with this, it was also instructed that for promotion, all the employees will have to provide complete details of their property regularly, whoever does not do so may face problems in promotion.
At the same time, another order has been issued by the Chief Secretary today. In this order, it has been asked to make biometric attendance regularly in Uttarakhand Secretariat as well. The order has clarified that it will be mandatory to make biometric attendance on every working day.
Let us tell you that for a long time, such complaints were being received that officers and employees are not reaching their offices on time, after which it was decided at the government level that biometric attendance will be made mandatory in all government departments. With this, it has now been implemented in the Uttarakhand Secretariat.
