Dehradun: The case of the death of a soldier’s one and a half year old son due to lack of treatment in Bageshwar has heated up. Earlier Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat took action in the matter. Now CM Dhami has also taken a tough stand in this matter. Taking cognizance of the matter, CM Dhami has ordered an immediate investigation.
CM Dhami has posted on the social platform X. In which CM Dhami wrote-
The news of the death of an innocent child in Bageshwar due to negligence in medical treatment is very painful and unfortunate. As per the information received so far, it appears prima facie that negligence has been shown by the officers and employees in the discharge of their duties at some level.
Dhami described the matter as a very sensitive matter. Regarding which CM Dhami has ordered immediate investigation to the Kumaon Commissioner. CM Dhami gave this information on X.
Taking cognizance of this extremely sensitive case, orders have been given to the Kumaon Commissioner for immediate investigation. If negligence or indifference is found at any level in this matter, then strict action will be ensured against the culprits. No laxity will be tolerated in protecting the trust and life of the public.
Let us tell you that one and a half year old son Shubhanshu Joshi of soldier Dinesh Chandra, resident of Chamoli Chidanga village, suddenly fell ill. His wife and mother reached Gwaldam with the son. Where the child did not get treatment in the hospital. After this, the family took the child to Baijnath (Bageshwar) Hospital. From where he was also referred to Bageshwar District Hospital. The family hurriedly reached Bageshwar District Hospital with the child. From where at 6 pm the child’s condition was declared critical and he was referred to Haldwani. After this the family called ambulance 108, but the family did not get the ambulance.
The soldier father called the DM: After this, the soldier father posted in Jammu and Kashmir had to call the District Magistrate himself. After which, on the orders of the Bageshwar District Magistrate, the ambulance arrived at around 9:30 pm. By then it was too late. While being taken to Haldwani by ambulance, one and a half year old Shubhanshu died on the way. This information has been given by the child’s father through a video.
