Dehradun: Case will be filed against those who violate the rules while buying land against the provisions of the land law in Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi gave many important guidelines while talking to the District Magistrates of all the districts through video conferencing in this regard.
The government is still waiting for the report sought from the District Magistrates of all the districts regarding the land law in Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi had sought a report from all the districts in this regard, but even after a week, the government could not get this report.
DMs of Haridwar and Nainital districts will have to submit the report within 24 hours
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has spoken to the District Magistrates through video conferencing and has given instructions to submit the report within 24 hours from Haridwar as well as Nainital district. On the other hand, on seeking information about the land provided at the government or district level under the Uttar Pradesh Zamindari Vinaash and Land Settlement Act 1950, reports have been received from 11 districts.
No misuse of land in Rudraprayag and Champawat: Information about land has been received from the remaining 11 districts except Haridwar and Nainital. In which no case of misuse of land or violation of rules has been reported in Rudraprayag and Champawat. Whereas, in the remaining 9 districts, many cases of violation of the use of purchased land have been reported. In some of these cases, action has been taken by recommending a suit at the district level. Apart from this, instructions have been given by the government to take immediate legal action in respect of those in which the land has not been used for the prescribed purpose.
In fact, in Uttarakhand, there is a provision for each family to purchase a maximum of 250 square meters of land. In such a situation, complaints were being received that many people have purchased much more land in Uttarakhand than this maximum limit. Not only this, after purchasing the land for various purposes, the related work was also not done on the said land. After all such complaints came to the fore, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took them seriously and directed the officials to take strict action on it.
CS Radha Raturi had sought a report of the lands within a week
At the same time, after the displeasure of Chief Minister Dhami, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi issued instructions to all the districts to provide the complete details of the purchase and sale of lands to the government within a week, but within a week the districts did not provide this report to the government.
The special thing is that now various districts of the state have started providing the report of land purchase to the government. Apart from Haridwar, only Nainital district is left to send this report to the government. In view of this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has now given 24 hours to the District Magistrate of both these districts to provide this report to the government.
Case will be registered under this Act
In this matter, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi today interacted with the district officials through video conferencing. The Chief Secretary directed the District Magistrates to register a case under ZALR ACT (Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act) on any violation of permission for purchase of land or purchase of land against the provisions of the land law.
