Chardham Yatra: Registration figure crosses 31 lakh… More than 27 thousand applied offline in a single day

Rishikesh: The number of offline registrations for Chardham Yatra is increasing rapidly. On Thursday, more than 27 thousand pilgrims registered offline in a single day. Due to the online registration slots being full for the May and June months, offline registration is now increasing continuously.

The state government has made registration mandatory for Chardham Yatra. Till now the figure of online and offline registration has crossed 31 lakh. The Tourism Department started online registration from March 20. Due to which slots are not available for the May and June months. For the convenience of pilgrims, offline registration was started in Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur, Naya Gaon Vikasnagar from April 28. For the first time, more than 27 thousand offline registrations were done on May 22.

Chardham Yatra registration nodal officer Yogendra Gangwar said that the number of offline registrations is likely to increase in the coming days. Adequate arrangements have been made so that no devotee faces any problem in registering. So far, more than 12 lakh devotees have visited the Char Dhams as compared to the total registration.
