Chardham Yatra will start in Uttarakhand from April 30, pilgrimage priests met CM Dhami

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is starting from 30th April. In fact, on April 30, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the Chardham Yatra will start with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. In view of which the government and administration are busy in completing the arrangements. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chardham Tirtha Purohit Mahapanchayat and the priests of Chardhams met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for promoting the winter journey. At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also took suggestions from all the pilgrimage priests to improve the Chardham Yatra.

Expressing gratitude to all the pilgrimage priests, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is working to make the Chardham Yatra more successful and better by becoming a partner of the pilgrimage priests. The state government will complete all the preparations even before the doors of the Chardhams open. He said that the state government is promoting the winter Chardham Yatra along with the Chardhams, for which continuous work is being done.

CM Dhami said that the state government is doing extensive publicity regarding the winter yatra. The shortcomings that were there in last year’s yatra are being rectified this year. The administration will hold a meeting with all the pilgrimage priests before the yatra. He said that along with the Chardham Yatra, we have to promote and develop other important religious and tourist places, so that more and more devotees reach there too. Apart from this, he said that the Chardham Yatra is also a way to make Uttarakhand prosperous.

Brijesh Sati, General Secretary of Uttarakhand Tirtha Purohit Mahapanchayat said that the Chief Minister is constantly taking forward the development of Chardham. He said that Chief Minister Dhami has also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mukhwa (Mukhimath), the winter worship place of Mother Ganga, which shows the Chief Minister’s sensitivity towards the Chardhams and the priest community. However, the members of the Uttarakhand Chardham Tirtha Purohit Mahapanchayat have appreciated the steps taken by the government to promote the Chardham Yatra and publicise the winter yatra.
