The Chhattisgarh government has once again made changes within the police department. The Home Department has transferred 05 IPS officers as part of an effort to improve administrative reforms and operations within the state’s various battalions and the police force.
Here are the new assignments for the officers:
- Arvind Kumar Kujur has been appointed to the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Raipur. Previously, he was serving in the Third Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Special Armed Forces (CSAF) in Amleshwar, Durg. In his new role at the Raipur headquarters, he will oversee law and order issues at the state level.
- Dhamendra Singh Chhawai has been transferred to the 15th Battalion of CSAF in Bijapur. As Bijapur is a Naxal-affected area, the security and administrative management there are particularly challenging. Dhamendra Singh will strengthen the security arrangements in that region. He was previously serving as the Assistant Inspector General of Police at the Police Headquarters in Raipur.
- Shweta Rajmani has been assigned to the 19th Battalion of CSAF in Bastar. Bastar is also a sensitive area for Naxalite activities, and Shweta Rajmani’s appointment aims to enhance security and strategic arrangements there. Before this, she was in charge of the 17th Battalion of CSAF in Kabirdham.
- Udaykiran has been transferred to the 9th Battalion of CSAF in Dantewada. Security challenges have always existed in Dantewada, and Udaykiran’s deployment is expected to further strengthen security measures in the area. He was previously serving as the Assistant Inspector General of Police at the Raipur Police Headquarters.
- Manoj Khilari has been assigned to the 2nd Battalion of CSAF in Bilaspur. His appointment aims to improve administrative control and security arrangements in the Bilaspur area. Previously, Manoj Khilari was responsible for VIP security operations in Mana.
