Dehradun: LED in Char Dham Yatra Transit Camp. Bhajans, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Char Dham Yatra related stories and aartis will be shown to the passengers through the screen and weather related information will be provided. This was said by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during a surprise inspection of Char Dham Yatra Transit Camp (Yatra Registration Office) in Rishikesh on Friday.
The Chief Minister took stock of various arrangements regarding the upcoming Char Dham Yatra. He also inspected various arrangements like registration room, travel inquiry and help center, hospital, police assistance / lost and found center in the office.
Registration system should be open 24 hours.
The Chief Minister said that before the upcoming Char Dham Yatra, the registration system in the transit camp should be kept open 24 hours. He said that a joint helpdesk of police, transport, municipal corporation, health, water, tourism, electricity, etc. departments should be made in the transit camp as a single window system, so that people get all the facilities at one place. He said that we have to make the journey successful by becoming a support to the devotees, so that every devotee’s journey is completed safely and they go to Uttarakhand with a good experience of the journey.
Work will be done on priority by making an action plan on crowd management and traffic system.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that there should be adequate arrangements for the stay of the devotees in the transit camp and coolers, clean drinking water, tin shed, chairs should be arranged to protect them from the heat. He said that all types of medicines should be arranged and doctors should be deployed in the hospital located in the transit camp. He said that work should be done on priority by making a special action plan on crowd management and traffic system.
Local products of Uttarakhand will be sold in the transit camp premises.
The Chief Minister also directed the officials to provide Char Dham Yatra promotional material in the reception set up in the transit camp. He said that devotees should be given information about other places along with Char Dham. He also directed the Khoya-Paya Kendra established in the transit complex to coordinate with all the travel routes. The Chief Minister said that there should be a separate place for the sale of local products of Uttarakhand in the transit camp complex. He said that the transit camp complex should have mutual coordination with all the districts related to the Char Dham.
The Chief Minister also met the employees working in the transit camp and encouraged them. He said that all the employees have a big responsibility of the Char Dham Yatra, which everyone will definitely fulfill well. He said that we have to welcome all the devotees with our behavior so that they take a good experience from the journey.
Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey said that registration has been arranged through 24 counters in the Char Dham Yatra Transit Camp. Apart from this, a reserve team has also been deployed. 24-hour medical facility will be provided in the Yatra Hospital. Also, a public address system has been installed by the police in the Police Help Center.
Commissioner Garhwal said that a media center has been arranged in the Yatra Transit Camp. Yatri Mitras will be deployed in the center, who will provide various facilities / information to the travelers. He informed that various NGOs and organizations will provide free food, refreshments and food items to the passengers and canteen facility will also be available. Adequate drinking water facility has been provided and tankers will be provided by Jal Sansthan. He informed that apart from this, 4 dormitory facilities with 80 beds are also available.
Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, MLA Premchand Agarwal, MLA Mrs. Renu Bisht, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop and other officials were present on this occasion.
