Chief Minister Dhami conducted a detailed review of development works in Bageshwar district

Bageshwar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting with district-level officials in the Collectorate auditorium, Bageshwar, and thoroughly reviewed the progress of various schemes and programs under various departments: the Public Works Department, Education, PMGSY, Jal Sansthan, Electricity, Women and Child Development, Social Welfare, Agriculture, and Horticulture. The Chief Minister issued clear instructions that direct benefits of all public welfare schemes of the Central and State governments should reach eligible individuals in a timely manner. He stated that negligence or delays in any department would not be acceptable. Basic services such as roads, drinking water, health, and education should remain uninterrupted, and public problems should be resolved promptly. Chief Minister Dhami stated that Bageshwar has immense potential for the development of tourism, natural resources, cultural heritage, and agriculture-based economic activities. He called for identifying new adventure tourism destinations and developing a special action plan to promote winter tourism. He informed that work is progressing rapidly on widening major roads and expanding helicopter services in the district, which will boost tourism and the local economy. The Agriculture and Horticulture Department was directed to provide a robust market for local crops like red rice, ginger, and turmeric, to increase honey production on a mission mode, and to connect high-value crops like apple and kiwi with modern technology and market linkages.

The Social Welfare Department was directed to connect as many beneficiaries as possible to the schemes through awareness camps. The Chief Minister informed that pension funds are now being deposited into accounts on time, on the 5th of every month, whereas previously it took up to three months.

The Chief Minister told all officials that prompt resolution of public problems, disposal of pending cases, and continuous public service should be the government’s top priorities. He directed that no work remain pending and the general public should not face any inconvenience.

District Magistrate Akanksha Konde, along with all department heads, gave the Chief Minister a detailed presentation of the major development schemes, achievements, and progress being implemented in the district. During the meeting, the Chief Minister honored national-level gold medal-winning Taekwondo players and praised their outstanding performance. He said that such players bring pride to the state and are a source of inspiration for the youth. MLAs Suresh Gadhiya and Parvati Das, along with other public representatives and district-level officials, were present.
