Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced, Uttarakhand will be made a factory of players

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government is continuously working for the development of sports and players in the state. Players who win medals at the national and international level are being promoted in out of turn government jobs and so far 31 players have been appointed in government departments. Sports infrastructure is being strengthened along with encouragement to the players, so that Uttarakhand can become a factory of players. These things were said by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a program organized on Sports Day.

Launch of the website of the 38th National Games

On Thursday, on the birthday of international hockey player Major Dhyanchand and National Sports Day, the Directorate of Sports organized a program in the multipurpose hall located at Parade Ground. In which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, special guest Sports Minister Rekha Arya and Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das participated as chief guests.

All the guests paid tribute to Hockey Magician Major Dhyan Chand by garlanding his portrait. The Chief Minister inaugurated the website of the 38th National Games. Uttarakhand Sports Repository System Portal (UKSRS) was launched for the players of the state to register themselves and record their achievements at one place.

He distributed scholarships worth Rs 58.50 lakh through DBT to 3,900 players of Udyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana. The Chief Minister provided an amount of Rs 7 crore 37 lakh 397 thousand through DBT to a total of 392 people including 269 national, 58 international players and 65 coaches.

Apart from this, the four players of the state who participated in the Paris Olympics were also rewarded. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that her intention is to prepare a nursery of sports and players in the state. She informed that all preparations are complete for hosting the 38th National Games, only the date is yet to be announced, which will be announced soon. The MLA thanked the Chief Minister for providing reservation to sportspersons in government jobs.
