Dehradun: CM Dhami distributed the funds online from the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday. An amount of Rs 33.22 crore was transferred to 3848 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme. During this time, the CM said that the state government’s resolve is that the youth of Uttarakhand should become job creators, not job seekers.

Migrants who returned during Covid-19, young entrepreneurs, artisans, craftsmen, and educated unemployed are the main beneficiaries of this scheme. Under the scheme, loan facilities are being provided to the original and permanent residents of the state in the manufacturing, service, and trade sectors through nationalized, cooperative, and regional rural banks. Project costs up to ₹25 lakh are permissible for manufacturing units and up to ₹10 lakh for service and trade units. Under the scheme, 15 to 25 percent of the project cost is being provided as margin money subsidy.
