Dehradun: A review meeting regarding deregulation was held with relevant officials under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. The Chief Secretary directed that all relevant departments take necessary steps related to deregulation in their respective priority areas. He directed that a notification be issued regarding the points where deregulation can be completed at the departmental level and a list of cases that need to be amended at the Cabinet level be prepared. He also directed that the details be submitted to the Government of India.
The Chief Secretary directed that pending cases in the deregulation process be expedited to further boost business and industry in the state. It is known that under the deregulation process, government regulations and controls are minimized. Through initiatives like the single window system, competition, efficiency, and innovation are encouraged, thereby accelerating investment in the economy and increasing ease of doing business.
Principal Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, Secretary Sridhar Babu Adanki, Additional Secretaries Vineet Kumar, Saurabh Gaharwar, Apoorva Pandey, and other relevant officials were present at the meeting.
