Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan chaired the high-level/steering committee meeting of the JICA-funded Uttarakhand Integrated Horticulture Development Project at the Secretariat on Monday. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed officials to prepare a financial and physical plan for the project.
The Chief Secretary emphasized the need for senior officials to regularly visit districts to review and gather feedback. He directed that livelihood schemes related to fruits and vegetables from other departments be included in this plan.
The Chief Secretary directed that the Annual Action Plan (AWP) for the financial year 2026-27 be completed by January. He said that targets should be set for the districts to ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe. A plan should be prepared by setting yearly targets for the entire project.
Secretary Sridhar Babu Addanki, Dr. S.N. Pandey, Director General of Agriculture and Horticulture Vandana, along with senior officials from the Agriculture, Horticulture, and Aromatic Plant Center were present on the occasion.
