Dehradun: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed Uttar Pradesh State Construction Corporation (UPRNN) to issue immediate notice in the case of incomplete and poor quality ITI buildings under construction. CS has given strict instructions to UPRNN to issue notice for refund of payment due to incomplete and poor quality construction works and to register a preliminary report (FIR) against them in case of non-compliance of the notice.
Along with this, the Chief Secretary has given strict instructions to Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation to work with long term vision and holistic approach in all construction works including ITI security construction. He has also given instructions to work on the drainage system and boundary wall along with the security construction works of ITI.
While presiding over the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) regarding security construction works at ITI Narsan (Haridwar) in the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, while approving the project cost of Rs 187.30 lakh, has directed the Uttarakhand Drinking Water Corporation to pay special attention to quality and timeliness in the construction works. Keeping in view the safety of the students studying in ITI, Chief Secretary Raturi has directed to start the construction work of this project after getting the technical test done from the Irrigation Department within 10 days. She has directed to complete the construction works before the next monsoon and ensure the safety of the ITI campus. Additional Secretary C Ravishankar along with officials of the Drinking Water Corporation and related departments were present in the meeting.
