Dehradun: A meeting regarding the Chief Minister’s announcements was held in the Secretariat on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary inquired about the updated status of the announcements under the Department of Drinking Water, Rural Development, Health, Forest, Social Welfare and Sports. Also, all departments were given guidelines to not delay the completion of the announcements.
The Chief Secretary instructed the officials that all departments should update the updated information of the schemes related to the CM announcement on the portal soon. Also, updated information should be provided to the Chief Minister’s Announcement Cell. He said that proposals should be prepared soon by taking the Chief Minister’s announcements seriously. He said that if such announcements can be deleted and the department does not feel the need for it, then a proposal should be sent to the Chief Minister’s Announcement Cell for deletion of the announcements with the departmental opinion. He said that before deleting any announcement, a discussion should also be held with the regional MLAs at the departmental level.
The Chief Secretary directed that before deleting the announcements related to drinking water, it would be necessary to submit a certificate by the concerned Chief Engineer for providing 55 LPCD water under Jal Jeevan Mission.
The Chief Secretary directed the departments to prepare the assessment of the schemes and make it available to the government and the announcement cell soon. Also, the announcement cell should also be informed about the unavailability of departmental budget to take up big projects under EAP. He also directed to prepare the DPR of the schemes and make it available soon.
The Chief Secretary said that the CM announcement cell should also review the announcements regularly. He said that departmental secretaries should be contacted regularly to update the information regarding the schemes pending for more than 6 months. He said that login ID and password should be made available for updating the portal at the departmental level. He said that the Chief Minister’s announcements should be reviewed continuously at the departmental and government level and completed soon.
On this occasion, Secretary Sachin Kurve, Radhika Jha, APCCF Kapil Lal, Secretary R. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Neeraj Khairwal and S.N. Pandey along with other senior officials were present.
