Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a meeting with state level officials of BSNL, Airtel and Jio Network at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He assured to provide all possible assistance to resolve the problems faced by service providers for the availability of 4G and 5G networks in the state.
The Chief Secretary talked about the formation of state level and district level committees to resolve the problems. He directed to make Director ITDA the nodal officer to resolve the problems of service providers. He directed that the review should be done twice a month at the nodal officer level and once a month at the Secretary IT level so that the target of 100 percent 4G saturation can be achieved. He also talked about nominating a nodal officer from UPCL so that the service providers can contact the competent level officer to resolve the problems being faced in their work.
The Chief Secretary directed BSNL to speed up the 4G network saturation work in the state. He asked all network providers to expand the network area in all four Dhams. He said that all possible help will be provided to improve the network quality in the state.
On this occasion, Secretary IT Nitesh Kumar Jha, Director ITDA Mrs. Nitika Khandelwal along with officials of BSNL, Airtel and Jio were present.
