Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan took stock of the arrangements of the Secretariat premises on Monday. The Chief Secretary also inspected the cleanliness system of the Secretariat.
During the inspection of the sections, the Chief Secretary talked about weeding out the files in the sections which are filled with old files. He said that by re-circulating the rules of the weeding process of files, weeding of files in all sections should be done compulsorily within a month. He directed the Secretary Secretariat Administration to identify a place for the record room soon and prepare a proper record room, in which the necessary files can be kept systematically after weeding out.
The Chief Secretary also expressed concern over some such sections, whose various sections are being operated in one room. He directed to immediately ensure the arrangement of Pota Cabin building for 10-12 sections in the Secretariat premises and shift the sections.
The Chief Secretary has also given instructions to re-circulate the inspection roster of the sections under the Secretariat complex. He said that the officers must inspect their sections within the stipulated time limit. He has also given instructions to ensure the availability of basic facilities in all the buildings under the Secretariat complex. Secretary Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary was also present on this occasion.
