Dehradun: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan paid emotional tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding their portraits at the Secretariat on their birth anniversaries. Other senior Secretariat officials also paid tribute by garlanding the portraits of Gandhiji and former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri.
The Chief Secretary also administered the “Cleanliness is Service” pledge to all officers and employees present on the Secretariat premises. On this occasion, the Bharatkhande Music College performed a chorus rendition of Gandhiji’s favorite hymn, “Vaishnav Jan.”
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Nitesh Kumar Jha, Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, and Vinod Kumar Suman, along with other senior officers and employees, were present.
