Dehradun: Considering the utmost importance of ropeway development in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Smt Radha Raturi held a detailed discussion with the Public Works Department, Tourism Department, Drinking Water, Irrigation and BRIDCUL in a meeting held at the Secretariat regarding determining the only nodal agency of the state government for ropeway development. The Chief Secretary has directed the concerned officials to take immediate necessary action to declare BRIDCUL as an expert agency for the complete development, consultancy, technical and other related services of ropeway infrastructure in the state. She has directed to take further action in this regard by taking the consent of all the concerned departments and stakeholders.
The Chief Secretary said that BRIDCUL has expertise, experience and adequate human resources in ropeway and other construction works in the state. The experiences and expertise of BRIDCUL should be taken advantage of in ropeway development. She said that this will ensure rapid progress in the ropeway development projects.
Secretary Shri Sachin Kurve, Shri Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Shri Dhiraaj Garbyal and officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
