Dehradun: A meeting of the Secretary Committee was held in the Secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, District Magistrates of all the districts were also connected through video conferencing. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary took detailed information on the subject of covid infection from Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary drew attention to the main points of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Governing Council meeting. The Chief Secretary said that for a developed India 2047, work needs to be done on the lines of developed village, developed city, developed district. For this, all the districts should prepare their plan. He said that all the districts should also set their goals for the next 10 years. He said that every state will have to identify a place and make it in accordance with global standards. Work in this direction should be started soon. He said that along with increasing the export of goods produced in the state, emphasis should be laid on promoting indigenous products. For this, a plan should be prepared by the Industry Department. The Chief Secretary said that the 21st century is a technology-driven century. He said that we have to make maximum use of new technology in our schemes and works and provide the benefits of government schemes and works to the common people on time. Highlighting the importance of the EV sector, he talked about working towards electric vehicles within the state. He said that in the coming times, training of new technologies needs to be linked to our education and skill development.
The Chief Secretary said that Vedic mathematics should also be promoted in the state. For this, higher education, basic and secondary education should work together in the field of Vedic mathematics. He also directed the digitization of manuscripts. He directed the Culture Department to preserve the manuscripts both digitally and physically. He also talked about preparing a State Computer Emergency Response Team in the state with the cooperation of the Home and Information Technology Department. He said that a strong eco-system should be created for this in the state. The Chief Secretary directed all the District Magistrates that all the districts should identify their long-term and legacy issues and send them to the concerned departments. He said that efforts will be made to resolve such matters at a high level. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary talked about celebrating Environment Day on June 5 on a large scale. For this, he gave the responsibility to Principal Secretary Forest R.K. Sudhanshu and said that the Prime Minister’s call ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ should be organized on a large scale.
