Chamoli: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 73rd State Industrial Development and Cultural Fair in Gauchar. During the event, the CM made several announcements for the Gauchar region. He announced the launch of an 18-seater air service from Gauchar airstrip, modeled after Pithoragarh, the development of parking facilities at four major locations in the region, the construction of the Saket Nagar-Raghunath Temple-Chatwa Pipal road, and the imminent commencement of construction of a stadium in Gauchar.
The CM stated that he had met with the Union Aviation Minister and informed him of the plan to introduce small aircraft in Gauchar. This will enhance tourism and pilgrimage activities after connecting to the rail and air networks, and will also provide employment to local residents.
On Friday, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 73rd State Industrial Development and Cultural Fair in Gauchar. The CM emphasized the importance of promoting the fair’s establishment, cultural heritage, and local for vocal. He also stated that work on the government’s Kedarnath and Hemkund ropeways would soon begin. The CM said that under the House of Himalaya initiative, local products have gained a new identity and the Mission State Mills has gained new momentum.
The CM also spoke about the government’s work in the state, ranging from film shooting and wedding destinations to tourism, AYUSH, and solar. He stated that a roadmap is being developed for flights from Gauchar, Chinyalisaur, and Naini Saini airports. The CM also discussed the abolition of the Madrasa Board. He stated that funds have been approved for the construction of a stadium in Gauchar, and work will begin soon.
Earlier, BJP workers welcomed the CM at the airstrip. MLA Anil Nautiyal, Bharat Chaudhary of Rudraprayag, and Municipal Council President Sandeep Negi addressed the event. Students from GGIC performed a welcome song. Present on the occasion were former Cabinet Minister Rajendra Bhandari, Zilla Panchayat President Daulat Singh, District President Gajpal Singh, Block Chief Deepika Maikhuri, Municipal Council President Ganesh Shah, and Minister of State Balveer Ghuniyal.
