CM Dhami approved the purchase of 100 new buses and contract of 100 buses to the Transport Corporation

Dehradun: In view of the rapidly increasing air pollution in Delhi, the Delhi government has completely banned the movement of BS-4 and diesel buses. Due to which passengers are facing a lot of problems due to the lack of movement of a large number of vehicles in Delhi. Recently, during a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary, CS Radha Raturi had instructed the Transport Secretary to talk at the appropriate level regarding the purchase of vehicles. The Transport Secretary had met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. On which the CM has approved the proposal to purchase 100 new buses.

Amidst the problems regarding bus operation in Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a big decision and has given approval to the Transport Secretary on the proposal to purchase 100 new buses as well as 100 contracted buses. Along with this, the CM has also given instructions to work fast in this direction. Actually, the number of BS-6 buses with the Transport Corporation is very less. Whereas the number of BS-4 and old model diesel buses is very high. Due to this, there is a problem in operating buses on the Delhi route.

A few months ago, during the board meeting of the Transport Corporation, approval was given to buy 100 new model diesel and 75 CNG buses. Its proposal was prepared and sent to the government. But still this proposal is pending in the government. Due to which the CS had given instructions to take a decision on this proposal during the meeting of the Transport Department yesterday. But now after the permission of the Chief Minister, the Transport Corporation is going to buy 100 new buses and has also started the process of contracting 100 buses.
