Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has granted financial approval of ₹84.12 lakh for the construction of a 3.02-kilometer motor road from Dobata to Martoli in Pithoragarh district, under the Chief Minister’s announcement scheme. This approval fulfills a long-pending demand of the region. This will connect the border area of Martoli directly by road.
The people of the border area of Martoli and surrounding villages have expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for this announcement. In their letter of gratitude, the villagers said that this road will give a new direction to the future of the village and will provide opportunities for employment and self-reliance to the youth in their own area. They believe that by approving the road to the border village of Martoli, the Chief Minister has connected this region to the mainstream.
This initiative of the Chief Minister will prove helpful in reversing migration, developing the border area, and keeping the villages vibrant. The approval of the road will make travel to Martoli village easier. It will also boost tourism in the entire valley.
