CM Dhami at Thauldhar Festival: “Toolkits are active in the state, opposing the government’s work”

Dhanaulti: The first sports and cultural festival organized by the Thauldhar Cultural Development Committee in Kandisaur, Tehri, has concluded. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the closing ceremony. During the event, he inspected the stalls and awarded prizes to the winners of various competitions. He also accused those protesting in the Ankita Bhandari case of spreading instability in the state.

Addressing the gathering at the first sports and cultural festival, CM Dhami said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is continuously striving for the development of Uttarakhand. The government is also working to crack down on all types of jihadists. He said that elements trying to defame Sanatan Dharma, who are living in the guise of sadhus, are being identified and sent back to their places of origin through Operation Kalnemi, so that the atmosphere of the state is not disturbed.

CM Dhami said that the government is continuously working towards the development and brotherhood of people of all religions and communities in the state. Today, under the leadership of PM Modi, the cultural heritage is being revived; people who were previously afraid to worship are now proudly wearing the sacred thread (Janeu). He added that the government will soon shut down illegally operating madrasas in the state.

He said that the government is working in the field of tourism. A policy is being implemented to promote tourism around New Tehri at a cost of Rs. 1300 crore, providing employment opportunities to the local people. Uttarakhand has secured the first position among states in increasing farmers’ income.

Toolkits active in the state, opposing the government’s work: CM Dhami said that toolkits are active in the state, constantly opposing the government’s work. Regarding the Ankita Bhandari case, he said that some people are doing politics in Ankita’s name, but the government has been standing with Ankita Bhandari’s family from the beginning. On the very first day, an SIT was formed under the supervision of a female IPS officer, and the investigation was launched. A thorough investigation was conducted in the case, and a report was submitted to the court, after which the accused were sentenced to life imprisonment. Furthermore, respecting public sentiment, a recommendation for a CBI investigation was also made at the request of the victim’s parents.

Demand letter submitted to CM Dhami: Meanwhile, Thouldhar Block Chief Surendra Singh Bhandari submitted an 11-point demand letter related to the area to CM Dhami. This included completing the remaining portion of the Gair Gusai-Sabli motor road, the Syasu-Mathiyali suspension bridge, an additional primary health center in Gair Kyarda, blacktopping of 100 kilometers of roads in the Thouldhar area, the Chham-Baldogi suspension bridge, and the construction of an additional primary health center in Katkhet Kaudu.

Other demands included starting a science faculty and postgraduate classes at the Government College Kamand, constructing an electrical substation at Suliadhar in Gram Sabha Nakot July, upgrading the Kandikhal PHC, establishing a nursing college in Thouldhar, and constructing the Thangdhar to Walkha Khal motor road. CM Dhami assured that appropriate action would be taken on these demands.
