CM Dhami attends Diamond Jubilee celebrations at Sainik School Ghorakhal, addresses students and urges them to fulfill the nation’s aspirations responsibly

Bhowali. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand is not only the land of gods but also the land of heroes, as many brave sons of Uttarakhand have sacrificed everything while defending the country. Even today, a large number of brave soldiers from Uttarakhand are deployed in the defense of the country.

He considers himself fortunate to be the son of a soldier. This is why he is familiar with the values ​​of national service and discipline instilled in children from military families. He has witnessed the challenges and difficulties faced by such children firsthand.

Appreciation of the school’s achievements

The closing ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Sainik School Ghorakhal was held on Friday. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was the chief guest on this occasion. He was welcomed by the school’s Principal, Group Captain Vijay Singh Dangwal. CM Dhami praised the school’s achievements and said that Sainik School Ghorakhal has always produced excellent officers for the country.

He congratulated the school for sending the highest number of cadets to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and for winning the Defence Minister’s Trophy 10 times consecutively. He urged the cadets to adopt unwavering resolve and move forward with complete dedication towards their goals. The CM presented trophies to the Junior Best Academic House (Love House), Senior Best Academic House (Kumaon House), Best NDA House (Shivalik House), Kak Runner-up (Shivalik House), and Kak Winner (Kumaon House).
