Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a field inspection of the Mussoorie Road and Kimari areas on Thursday after reviewing the heavy rains across the state from the State Disaster Operations Center. During the inspection of relief operations, the Chief Minister directed officials to quickly repair main roads to restore normal traffic and ensure alternative arrangements for public movement as needed.
Chief Minister Dhami directed that all concerned departments work on a war footing to quickly restore normal life in the affected areas. All affected families should be provided immediate financial assistance and basic services as per disaster standards. In view of the ongoing rainfall, the Chief Minister directed that alternative routes and relief camps be established on a priority basis in areas where traffic has been disrupted.
The Chief Minister said that the state government stands with the disaster victims with full sensitivity in this hour of crisis and is making every possible effort to restore normal life in the affected areas as soon as possible.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Vice Chairman of the Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Rohilla, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal, SSP Ajay Singh, and district administration officials were present on the occasion.
