Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday did a field inspection of the areas affected by heavy rains under Raipur area in Dehradun. The Chief Minister met the local people at Kirsali Chowk, IT Park, Nanurkheda, Amwala, Tapovan, Shanti Vihar and listened to their problems and said that the safety of the public is the top priority of the state government. During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the district administration to provide all possible help to the affected people. The Chief Minister directed to clean the drains regularly and make proper arrangements for drainage in waterlogged areas and said that warning boards should also be installed in sensitive areas while taking special precautions.
The Chief Minister also directed the local police forces, all departments to remain on alert mode and said that prompt action should be ensured in case of any contingency. Also, make every effort to protect the lives and property of the affected people by keeping the response time to a minimum.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Vice Chairman of Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Ruhela, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and district administration officials were present.
