Dehradun: During a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed officials to prepare an effective action plan for the upcoming State Foundation Day celebrations on November 9th, ensuring public participation in the events.
The Chief Minister also directed the immediate preparation of an action plan for the maintenance of the Nanda Raj Yatra routes and the development of infrastructure facilities at the Yatra’s overnight stops. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also commended the efforts made by all concerned institutions and officials in the relief and rescue operations during the recent disaster in the state.
The Chief Minister directed the preparation of an effective action plan to reduce the increasing traffic pressure in cities, conduct intensive inspection campaigns to prevent food adulteration and maintain cleanliness, and prepare a complete list of flagship schemes and programs to be completed in the state. The Chief Minister called for expedited construction and new construction projects in the state. He stated that negligence in road construction and repair work would not be tolerated. Reconstruction and repair of damaged roads should be completed on a priority basis.
The Chief Minister also directed that special monitoring be maintained in areas where repeated road-related complaints are received, and special attention should be paid to the quality of work. The Chief Minister directed weekly reviews of the progress of the Pothole-Free Roads Campaign and completion of patchwork by October 31st. He also directed on-site inspections of road repair projects.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police A.P. Anshuman, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present at the meeting.
