CM Dhami distributed appointment letters to 139 candidates appointed on various posts, 52 appointments in Higher Education Department and 87 in Medical Education Department

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 139 candidates appointed on various posts under Higher Education and Medical Education Department. The Chief Minister, while wishing the newly appointed candidates, called upon them to work with commitment and honesty to fulfill the state government’s alternative-less resolve to make Uttarakhand the best state in the country. The Chief Minister said that now jobs in Uttarakhand are being given only on the basis of merit, talent and ability. Competitive examinations are being conducted with fairness and honesty. As a result of this, during three and a half years, the number of candidates getting appointment in various services in the state is now going to cross the figure of twenty three thousand. In a program organized at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, appointment letters were distributed to the candidates selected through Public Service Commission for 52 posts of Assistant Professor under Higher Education Department as well as 18 Professors and 36 Associate Professors of Medical Colleges under Medical Education Department and 33 posts of Tutor and Medical Social Worker in Nursing Colleges through Medical Service Selection Commission.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government has made strict provisions to conduct competitive examinations with fairness and honesty. Work has been done to eradicate the problem of paper leak from the root. Due to which the youth are getting full respect for their ability and talent. Appreciating the talent and hard work of the selected candidates, the Chief Minister said that the contribution and guidance of their parents and teachers have an important role in this success. He said that teaching is a work of greater responsibility, through which we not only shape the future of the youth by guiding them but also contribute to the construction of the society. The newly appointed candidates will have to be committed to fulfill this challenging responsibility with full honesty and dedication. He said that this responsibility is not just a job but a great opportunity to serve humanity. Therefore, the spirit of service should always be reflected in your work behavior.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, historic work is being done to strengthen health facilities in Uttarakhand. For this, special attention is being paid to strengthening infrastructure facilities at various levels, construction and modernization of new hospitals, opening medical colleges in every district and increasing medical facilities.

The Chief Minister said that concrete work is also being done to strengthen the education system in the state. The historic work of implementing the new education policy in Uttarakhand has been done first in the country. Infrastructure facilities are being increased in the higher education institutions of the state and all necessary measures are being ensured for quality education system. Vacant posts of professors are being filled rapidly. The Chief Minister called upon the professors to give good education to the students as well as strengthen their sense of responsibility towards society and country and said that the youth should be prepared for entrepreneurship and startups. Uttarakhand is full of innovative youth full of talent and skills. The government is taking several steps to encourage them. Facilities are being provided to make the youth entrepreneurs through the Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana. Meritorious students are being given scholarships every month and research grants up to Rs. 18 lakh are being given to promote research. The Chief Minister called upon all the people to remain collectively engaged to take the state forward rapidly in every field.

On this occasion, Higher Education and Medical Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that all the faculty posts in the Higher Education Department in Uttarakhand have been filled. Uttarakhand has become the leading state in the country to do so. Similarly, special attention is being paid to filling regular faculty in medical colleges. 70 percent of the posts in medical colleges have been filled and more than 85 percent of the faculty posts will be filled in the next three months. Soon the appointment process of 400 associate professors for medical colleges will also be completed.

Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLA Khajan Das and Mrs. Savita Kapoor, Vice Presidents of Higher Education Upgradation Committee Dr. Devendra Bhasin and Dr. Jaipal Singh, Secretary Higher Education Dr. Ranjit Sinha, Secretary Medical Education Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar were also present in the program.
